eTouch helps capturing adverse events with web-based Safety Case Receipt System
Our client's call centers across the world capture verbatim details of adverse events such as suspect and concomitant products, details of the event, action of the product, and seriousness, in addition to data like the patient’s name, age, and medical history for an adverse event. These details, along with any related source documents, such as physician notes, laboratory reports, discharge summaries, and autopsy reports, were sent to the client via faxes. We helped our client successfully web-enable transmission of this data captured at call centers by integrating with call center applications using EAI technology. The system provides a configurable workflow that manages the triage process for case/ adverse event processing.
Regulatory Submission Tracking For European Clinical Trials
eTouch implements Regulatory Submission Tracking for European Clinical Trials
The European Commission issued guidelines to simplify and harmonize the administrative provisions governing clinical trials in the European Community, by establishing a transparent procedure. As per this directive, all pharmaceutical companies began reporting to the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products (EMEA) about the products that were undergoing clinical trial. eTouch developed a comprehensive application for gathering clinical trial regulatory information for European Union competent authority submissions. The system facilitated functionalities like maintaining details of Clinical Trials, Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP), Active Substances, and Placebos.
Medicinal Compounds and Project Management
eTouch develops comprehensive project management and medicinal compound data management system
Chemical Pharmaceutical department of the company needed a system to record project-planning data and manage the medicinal compound data. The department also wanted a make over of existing ColdFusion Application into a J2EE based application with easy navigation and fresh look-and-feel. eTouch redesigned the application, migrated it to J2EE application server environment and introduced ability to define and generate custom reports in various formats such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point documents for compound status presentations.
Clinical Trials Submission Tracking
eTouch helps tracking of submissions for Clinical Trials
eTouch helped the customer to build an automated "wizard based" system to create submissions tracking process templates. The system had intuitive functionality to select and assign participating countries, locations and sites, and ability to allocate resources to a given project that was managed to track the submission of the clinical trial. The submission documents were stored into a document repository (Documentum).
Global Regulatory Affairs Portal
OnePlace offers common platform to Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence Team
The Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence (GRPI), a unit of the company, wanted to build a portal-based common platform that would help them bring together common business process, tools, and knowledgebase since the GRPI business was rapidly becoming a global cross-pharma organization. eTouch made this possible by designing and developing OnePlace portal. The major components of the portal included the shared knowledge repository, targeted CBN news display, links to external sites, GRPI contact dictionary and events calendar. The portal was integrated with enterprise document management system (Documentum) that managed content labeled with metadata and with Convera Search Engine.
Enterprise Collaboration Portal
eTouch helps revive intranet for a Pharmaceutical Company
eTouch helped the customer redesign their intranet to increase the productivity of their employees. The goal was to provide faster access to information and provide collaboration features for the employees, a large percentage of which were research scientists. eTouch redesigned the customer’s intranet and implemented an Enterprise Portal that enabled collaboration within the various departments and facilitated faster access to information. The Enterprise Portal provided a platform for information sharing and future growth. Advanced search features facilitated fast access to information like never before. The portal served as the primary work interface for day-to-day activities.
Medicinal Products Dictionary
eTouch builds medicinal product dictionary
The company needed to submit information on medicinal products to the EMEA EudraVigilance Medicinal Product Dictionary (EVMPD). eTouch team designed and developed Medicinal Product Dictionary (MPD) application. The dictionary contains the information about customer’s pharmaceutical and consumer products within the EEA (European Economic Area), including regulatory, development, and marketing status. The dictionary specialists submit the product information to EMEA as XMLs generated by the system.
Customer and Billing Data Warehouse
eTouch integrates diverse data sources for a large energy distribution utility
The customer was facing a huge delay of about 40 working days for manually processing data and generating reports after receiving data from 26 bill processing centers across the state. The data volumes were close to 750 GB per month. eTouch implemented an Operational Data Store (ODS) solution for transactional and investigative reporting using Oracle Warehouse Builder ETL tool and Dimension Modeling. The solution also had an integrated web-application component that allowed data upload and approval process for the remote bill processing centers. |
